Lowered VW Tiguan.. Well.. why?

Let me be honest here, I have no problem with the "Stance Crew", I actually like plenty of stanced cars, BUT.. well.. this.. The VW Tiguan does not have wheel arches that lend themselves all that well to "Stance" if you ask me.

But there is something about it though.. I can't quite put my finger on it..

Could it be that it looks somewhat like a Stormtrooper?

PS: This car belongs to a friend of me, he works for a company that sell cars (nope, not VW).

Needs more sidewall.

I actually kind of like that. Lets be honest, no one takes a Tiguan off roading. Thats that the Touareg is for, so its not like its becoming less usable. Obviously all over generalizations are inaccurate, including this one. But you get my point. I don't know. I think it looks kind of cool.

It makes me think of a Golf with a higher roofline. I do like the Tiguan front clip more than the MK6 Golf though.
